Latinos

As the chair of the New Jersey Legislative Latino Caucus, Senator Pou is a tireless advocate for the labor rights, healthcare, education, and overall well-being of the state's estimated 1.4 million Hispanics.

Senator Pou also has directly confronted racial bigotry and bias. In 2007, she and former Assemblyman Wilfredo Caraballo publically challenged a local radio station over their broadcast of offensive, anti-immigrant content. The station eventually capitulated and removed the offensive content.

In this video, Pou offers her perspective on controversial immigration legislation that was signed into law by Arizona's governor in April, 2010.
