Senator Pou is very active in causes that help empower women and girls.
Her annual Women's Leadership Breakfast boasts a crowd of 400-500 men and women from throughout the state.
Her annual Women's History Celebration, which occurs every March, honors local women-- often unsung heroes-- for the important roles they play in our community.
For her efforts, Senator Pou has been honored by many groups, including the Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey and the Northern New Jersey Maternal/Child Health Consortium.
And, as a member of New Jersey's Task Force Against Child Abuse and Neglect, Pou is similarly committed to ensuring the safety, well-being, and empowerment of New Jersey's children and their prospects for future success.
In this video from a Women's History Celebration, Senator Pou challenges students at the Rosa Parks High School of Fine and Performing Arts in Paterson to think differently about the changing roles of women in our state and nation.
